Artists and creatives in the Pioneer Valley are invited to submit work to our 2019 Dwellings Anthology. Poems, lyrics, short stories, visual art and illustrations, visual scores, and other creative work that connects to our theme will be considered.

The theme for this year's call for works is space: space that we hold for ourselves and others, space that we occupy, spaces liminal and defined. We are looking for works that engage with the ideas of filling/taking up space, and the setting and/or breaking of boundaries that can occur in the process of creating a space and making it safe.

Contributing artists will receive:

  • 5 copies of the anthology to keep or sell (approx. $50 value)

  • A shout out on our social media as a “featured artist,” including a mini bio and contact/social media info

  • Listing of professional contact info/website in the journal

  • Circulation of the work throughout the Pioneer Valley

All proceeds from journal sales (not including the copies that artists will receive to sell) will go toward providing resources, opportunities, and advocacy for artists, with a focus on supporting artists from underrepresented groups.
